Susan Ann Bruso

Susan Ann Bruso departed this world on her final road trip Thursday November 28, 2024 (Thanksgiving Day). Sue was born in 1953 in Eau Claire WI, which is where she grew up and graduated from North High School. After raising her family, she went to work for Graebel Movers Inc. in Wausau, WI, later moving to Los Angeles, CA, and then on to the Seattle, WA area where she retired as Administrative Manager after 27 years with the company. Sue was a friend to many and had a profound impact on the people she loved. She was the first to make a friendship, warmly welcomed everyone to her home, and loved to share life stories, offer advice, or lend an ear. She made the world around her a better place with her kindness, gentle and authentic demeanor, and way of making people smile. Sue loved traveling with her husband, national parks, scenic roads, historical sites, mountains, forests, starry skies, turtles, ocean beaches, and Route 66. Camping and campfires, vintage trailer rallies, reunions, making treats for the grandkids, and “trailer camp family” dinners. She liked good music, dive bar food, green olives, tattoos, and shopping for sweatshirts and hats. Christmas lights, Elton John, Billy Joel, Queen, Meatloaf, and Tina Turner. She liked ad hoc adventures, hopping chicken buses in foreign cities, boat cruises, dragonflies, street vendors, margaritas around the pool, bragging about her grandkids, and the shrimp trucks on Oahu. We don’t know where she’s off to this time but maybe she’ll find all those things and drop us a postcard, or maybe she’ll be too busy. We also don’t know how she’s going to get there. She always made her husband do the driving and he’s still here.

In addition to her husband Terry Bruso of Shelton WA, Sue left behind daughters Stacey Evenson-Stanley (Sean Stanley) of Littleton, CO, Camie Jorgensen of Mosinee, WI, her dog daughter Raven Wednesday Skywalker Brousseaux, brothers Tom, Jeff, Randy and Bill Krogman, grandchildren Morgan, Justin, and Ashlee Maier, Jayden Evenson, Joshua and Jaxson Jorgenson, Reed, Ryan, and Seanie Stanley, and several great-grandchildren. Departing on earlier buses were her parents, Keith and Rosemary Krogman, her little sister Mary Kay Krogman all of Eau Claire, WI, and her trailer park sorority sister Kathy Gramann of Victor, MT. The family is planning Celebrations of Life in both Washington and Wisconsin, after which her ashes will be scattered to the four winds. In lieu of cards or flowers, the family kindly asks that you donate to your area hospice provider, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, or your local food bank.
