Our beloved Kristján Borgþór Laxfoss Hávarðarson, also known as Kristjan B Laxfoss, Captain Kristjan Laxfoss, and Boggi, went to his final resting place on December 31, 2024, in Renton/Seattle, Washington. He was born in Reykjavík, Iceland, on October 3, 1947, to Hávarður Karl Reimarsson and Guðný Aalen Jóhannesdóttir. He was 77 years old and spent most of his life as a ship's captain both in Iceland and Alaska.

He invented Captain K’s "Fish Franks" and was able to manufacture and market his invention in the last few weeks of his life. This made him so very happy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two older brothers, Gunnar Laxfoss and Hávarður Karl Laxfoss Howardson, his son, Gísli Kristjánsson, and nephew Karl Howardson.

Survivors include four children, Gunnar Laxfoss, Bóel Laxfoss, Guðný K. Laxfoss and Gunnar B. Laxfoss, as well as granddaughters Sylvía Gísla Gerstenberger and Erla F. Gunnars, three great grandsons and two great granddaughters, his sister Guðný Minný Laxfoss, nieces Connie St. John, Inga Mondy, and Brynja Laxfoss Burns. He will be sorely missed.

As per his wishes, he will be cremated, and his ashes scattered near Chelan Lake in Washington. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
